Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 28, 2026
Who we are
StudioStaq (“StudioStaq,” “we,” “us”) is StudioStaq Inc., based in Los Angeles, California, USA. StudioStaq provides software for talent-management agencies (the “Service”), available at app.studiostaq.com, and operates the website www.studiostaq.com.
Questions or requests: hello@studiostaq.com.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Service or visit our website. The Service is business software: an agency (our customer) controls the workspace and invites its team members and represented talent to use it.
Information we collect
- Account information. Name and email address when you sign up or are invited (authentication is provided by our sub-processor Clerk).
- Workspace content. Information your agency puts into the Service: talent profiles, contact details, social media handles and statistics, deals, rate cards, notes, documents, and media files.
- Gmail data (only if you connect a mailbox). See “Google user data” below.
- Usage and log data. IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and error diagnostics (via our sub-processor Sentry), used to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies. We use cookies required for sign-in and session security. The marketing website uses no advertising cookies.
Google user data (Gmail integration)
If you choose to connect your Gmail mailbox, StudioStaq accesses the following Google user data, with your explicit OAuth consent:
- Read access to your Gmail messages (
gmail.readonly): we display your email threads inside the Service’s Message Center, show message content to you (and to workspace teammates when you link a conversation to a shared deal), and associate conversations with the talents and deals they concern, including AI-assisted suggestions of which deal or talent a thread relates to. - Sending email from your address (
gmail.send): only when you explicitly compose and send a message inside the Service. We never send automated or background email from your mailbox.
Limited Use disclosure. StudioStaq’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- We use Gmail data only to provide the user-facing Message Center features described above.
- We do not sell Gmail data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
- We do not use Gmail data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. (AI-assisted suggestions process individual messages solely to provide the in-app feature, via Google’s Gemini API, and are not used for model training.)
- Humans at StudioStaq do not read your Gmail data except (a) with your explicit permission (e.g., a support request), (b) as necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or (c) to comply with applicable law.
- You can disconnect your mailbox at any time in the Service’s settings, which stops all access; you can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Upon disconnection we delete stored Gmail-derived message data within 30 days.
How we use information
To provide, secure, and improve the Service; to respond to support requests; to send transactional email such as invitations and notifications (via our sub-processor Resend); and to comply with law. We do not sell personal information and we do not use customer content for advertising.
Sub-processors
We use service providers to operate the Service: Google Cloud Platform (hosting, database, and Gemini AI features), Clerk (authentication), Resend (transactional email), Sentry (error monitoring), Vercel and Cloudflare (website hosting and DNS). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
Sharing
We share information only: with the sub-processors above; within your workspace as directed by your agency’s settings and roles (e.g., what talent can see in the talent portal); when required by law; or in connection with a merger or acquisition (with notice).
Data retention and deletion
Workspace content is retained while the agency’s account is active. Upon account termination, or upon a verified deletion request, we delete personal information within 30 days except where retention is required by law. Gmail-derived data follows the shorter timeline described above.
Security
We use industry-standard measures: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, workspace-level data isolation enforced at the database layer, role-based access control, secrets management, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
We are a California company. If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; access a copy of it; correct inaccurate information; delete your personal information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” (for cross-context behavioral advertising) personal information, so no opt-out is required.
In the preceding 12 months we collected the categories described in “Information we collect” above, from you or your agency directly, for the business purposes described in “How we use information.”
To exercise these rights, email hello@studiostaq.com from the address associated with your account (or have an authorized agent do so with proof of authorization). We will verify and respond within the time required by law. Note: for workspace content, your agency is the business that determines use; we may direct requests to them as required.
Other regions
The Service is operated from the United States and intended for business users. If you access it from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information directly from them. Talent portal accounts are created by the agency, not by the talent; an agency is responsible for having the authority to provide information about anyone it represents, including where that person is a minor.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the effective date; material changes will be notified through the Service or by email.
